  1. Hi there,
Good evening to you hope all is well with you,
This is question was prompted when we got back from Aberdeen and we couldn’t help noticing that the site workers are VERY BUSY working on what appears to be the stadium part of the development. Weren’t they told by the City Planners they could only work on the training pitches area until such time as they were or were not given the go-ahead to build the stadium ? Have they now managed to get permission to work on what very much looks like the stadium area? Considerable activity has been going on for several weeks concentrating on the original landfill area and only minimal work has been on-going on the training pitches area. It seems to the interested bystander that they have decided to go ahead to work on the planned BIG RED eye sore (called the football Stadium) without even waiting for the decision of the preliminary meeting in a few weeks time. Maybe their thinking is “we’ve started so let’s see what we can get away with until someone/group queries what’s going on!
It seems to us that they will do what ever they want to do disregarding the rules dictated by Planning Dept. Does any third-party have authority to watch them and monitor what spoil is dug up? The same limitation should be applied to wildlife and endangered species. The migrating geese are over-flying Westhill regularly at this time of year looking for their usual landing field! There could be buried nasty stuff that they would prefer not to disclose. As the rubble is taken to an alternative landfill site is it checked to be suitable for disposal. Perhaps these questions should be addressed to the substantive hearing in January.
It is unfortunate the press keep using a stock photo of a small section of objectors and saying ‘we are a small group of objectors’. The press don’t seem to want tell readers that there are several thousand objectors who have clubbed together to raise a considerable amount of money
Out of area visitors to our home are shocked, even more than surprised, at the close proximity of the Stadium will be to Westhill’s eastern boundary
The club say they have an extra million pounds available for further facilities but at the first and subsequent open meetings they made it clear there was sufficient finance available for those ‘further facilities’ (eg under-pitch heating, community pitches, a club house, etc ) – they are just cranking the handle and dishing out the same old story like an organ grinder. They tell so many fibs and think we are all stupid.
We wish you all the very best on the 19th Dec and then again for the New Year
    Thanks for reading this.
    Kind Regards
    Carole
